Video Transcript
I first went to college right out of high school. I attended for about a year, and I left to get married and raise my two children. I did not return for 30 years. I do great at my job that I do, but I have always been overlooked for promotions, or management positions because I did not have a degree. So it was time for me to get my degree.
I could not attend a traditional college due to my busy schedule at work, and also raising two children as a single mom. I enrolled in an online college and three years later I graduated with honors. Life happens and you say to yourself, I do not have the money to go now. Well, you are not going to have the money in five years, or ten years, because unless you make $100,000 or more it is not going to happen.
You need to get to the point that you say, I have the money and now you have to complete your degree. You have family obligations; they are not going to go away. When you keep thinking about it, it takes 30 years. If you are serious and you want to do it, it is so worth it. Graduation - what a great feeling.
